May 31, 2017  Astro Duel Deluxe (Switch) From the get-go, it’s obvious that Astro Duel Deluxe isn’t going to light your world on fire with state of the art graphics or innovative gameplay. What it does, and does well, is take the game of Asteroids, add up to six players, throw in some power-ups, and let the chaos begin.

Astro Duel Deluxe is a couch co-op, arcade shooter that is fun and easy to pick up and play with friends. However, the game features very few modes, in which you practically can only play against other people.

The game does allow you to play against bots in a single-player mode, but the game really isn't worth your time or money for just that. Fun for playing with a group of friends, but due to so many Nintendo games in general being based on that idea, I can't really recommend this game as so many other games do couch co-op fun with friends better than this one.

The arcade graphics are nostalgic but don't really add anything. The controls are super wonky and most shots against opponents seem like they land on target through luck rather than actual skill. And the games out there like Towerfall Ascension show the potential of this genre, and really make the need to own this game go out the window. I do have to say the touch screen applications of the game, in which 4 people can hold on to separate corners of the screen to control your ship are really interesting, and could be utilized by other games as well, but it isn't a really great way to play only because the screen isn't quite big enough for 4 sets of hands. Recommended for anyone who wants to mess around with a game with friends at a drinking party, but that's the only time I could see pulling this game out. Good, easy pick-up-and-play retro fun. The pilot hunters mode is great (you have to destroy their spaceship and then kill the tiny pilot as they desperately try and evade long enough for another new spaceship to appear.There's a few different maps to play presenting their own challenge and various different power-ups which can really change the nature of a fight.In single player Good, easy pick-up-and-play retro fun.

In single player there are a few different options for play and although the critics seem to say it lacks a campaign type mode, I can't see how that would work. Of course like most things it'll be a better game played against your mates!

If you're a fan of retro gaming then you should really think about buying this one as it's well designed and simple enough to be picked up by any gamer. This game is GREAT.

League of angels 2 login. The glaring issue with Astro Duel Deluxe: single-player content. Simply put, there IS NO single-player content. If you can get past that, this is one of the best party games on the Switch; my friends and I have started doing bracket tournaments with it alongside Smash.
